Daily Challenge: Football Jersey Maths

Romanian football stars have put equations instead of numbers on the back of their jerseys.    This is to promote Mathematics in their nation. 

Koru Whanau can you find all the numbers on the back of the shirts?  Which is the largest and smallest number you can see?


Kowhai and Kauri Whanau. How many equations can you answer? There are a total of 7 equations on these shirts to answer.  Can you answer them all? Can you make anymore from the numbers given?

2 x 3 = 

7 - 3 = 

11 x 2 =

2 x 2 + 2 = 

2 + 3 =

2 x 7 =

46 ÷ 2 =

  1. Thanks Josh in rm 19 for answering 6 of the questions today and emailing me. Anyone else. 46 divided by 2 can be tricky. We can say half of 46 is? or how can we put 46 into two equal groups (you can use lego or something else around your home to help you)
